This website accompanies our free exhibition Out Of Chaos; Ben Uri: 100 Years in London in the Inigo Rooms, Somerset House in association with the Cultural Institute at King’s College London.

About the Exhibition

Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund this exhibition showcases a group of rarely seen masterworks by mainly Jewish émigré artists from the Ben Uri collection, including works by the first Jewish Royal Academician, Solomon Hart, Mark Gertler, David Bomberg, First World War poet Isaac Rosenberg, Jacob Epstein, Max Liebermann, Josef Herman, Frank Auerbach, Leon Kossoff and R B Kitaj. 10421952_731492330252294_2585214107974415574_n_(2).jpgI am very excited to tell everyone I know that for the next year I will be Visiting Scholar at Boston Universityin The Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies​.  These last two years have been a period of transition (neverVan Morrison‘s best record), and this gives me a real chance to have an academic community close to where I live and the use of many of the facilities at BU.  Thank you, Michael Zank​ for the invitation.
